Generally, there are two different schools of travelers. There are those that love venturing to places that are relatively similar to the place they're from in regards to general atmosphere, foods, customs, and so on. Then there are those who look to travel to the wildest, most exotic places possible. These are the ones who thrive off of culture shock. If you are from the latter group, then you should consider visiting Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is flat-out different, and this makes it so exciting. Nothing is predictable, and everything is interesting. However, before traveling here, you will need to apply for a US passport forms.

Passport Process

I don't know about you, but I dread the passport process. However, thanks to a move into online passport business, it has become so much easier than it used to be. Instead of having to travel to a passport agency or a post office and wait in line and then wait for even longer to actually receive your passport, you can sit down one afternoon, fill out a passport renewal application form or whatever you need to have done and have it already on its way that same afternoon. I don't think it could honestly get any easier.

Cultural Experience

Sri Lanka is located just off the coast of India, but the culture is entirely its own. It has a long and involved history, including occupation by all sorts of governments, and this has resulted in a very unique culture. The history of Sri Lanka has been recorded for a very long time - around 2,500 years. The island is famous for its gorgeous beaches as well as its unique cultural experience, and it has been attracting adventurers and tourists alike for a long time.

Colonial Heritage
The colonial heritage of Sri Lanka is definitely worth delving into, and Galle is a great place to start. Galle makes it very easy for visitors to do a self-guided experience because everywhere you look is something worth seeing. There are lots of historical landmarks as well as gorgeous views from the city. The Old Gate is a popular landmark, showing evidence of when Sri Lanka was still occupied by the British.

Affordable Experience

Nature-based activities are also popular choices for those visiting Sri Lanka. These include visiting the gorgeous beaches on the Indian Ocean, swimming, snorkeling and diving, surfing, and other popular water sports. The best beaches are located on the southern end of the island, in a region known as Mirissa. If you are interested in meeting some of the famous exotic animals of Sri Lanka, there are plenty of opportunities to do that as well. In addition to various nature tours, one can also visit the Elephant Orphanage. The experience is affordable, and you can even ride on the back of an elephant for an additional fee.

Online Services

The people and places of Sri Lanka are genuinely captivating. The island is so different from anything we are used to, and this makes it a great place to travel to if you ever get the chance. If you are thinking of traveling here or anywhere else outside of US borders, you will need to get a US passport. Going online makes this easy. From the websites, you can access a passport renewal application form or any other sort of service you might need.
